Call for Submissions: China-Africa Exchange Exhibits
If you have a friend who knows your heart from afar, distance cannot keep you apart. Despite being thousands of miles apart, China and Africa have a long history of close relations. Jinhua's exchanges and cooperation with Africa have yielded fruitful results in trade, academic research, and people-to-people exchanges. In May of this year, the China-Africa Exchanges Museum of Zhejiang Normal University will showcase these stories of China-Africa exchanges. The museum is currently collecting relevant exhibits.
The China-Africa Exchanges Museum covers an area of around 300 square meters and will systematically display the major historical events in China-Africa exchanges, especially the struggle stories of contemporary Chinese and African people.
The exhibition area is divided into three main sections: The first section provides a review of China-Africa relations. The second section focuses on China-Africa exchanges in various areas, including infrastructure, trade, medical care and health, agriculture, poverty reduction, education and science, peace and security, cultural tourism, sports, media, think tanks, youth, and women. The third section introduces the history of the Institute of African Studies at Zhejiang Normal University.
The collection of exhibits includes physical objects, archives, documentation, pictures, and audio-visual materials related to exchanges between China and Africa. Everyone is welcome to donate or loan a badge, a stamp, a certificate, a manuscript, a diary, a memoir, some music, a film, or a cultural work that can carry stories of China-Africa exchanges to the China-Africa Exchanges Museum.
Exhibit submissions will remain open for an extended period.
